The 2010 Draper Lake Duathlon has been selected as the USAT 2010 Long Course Duathlon National Championship! “We are pleased to be honored by this selection and we will do everything we can to make sure we host a race that is worthy of the National Championship.” said Executive Race Director, Bret Sholar.

The Draper Duathlon is a club race hosted by the Triathlon Club of Oklahoma City. TRI-OKC hosts several races each year including a duathlon series which includes the Draper Duathlon. After taking charge of the race director position in 2004, Bret Sholar added the Off-Road race to attract the mountain biker riders and trail runners to the event. Instead of creating a new name for the Off-Road event, RD Sholar decided that people might want to do both races and could ‘do draper twice’. The tie into Duathlon was to obvious to pass up, so the name “DU DRAPER TWICE” was born.

Participants in either race can look forward to a safe and well organized event, genuine Oklahoma hospitality, and personal attention from Bret and his volunteer staff. Register early as the event will certainly fill up.
